Getting started
You will need to book in for an initial consult which takes an hour. You will be assessed by a qualified instructor to determine your range of movement and any injuries or medical conditions you may have. To get the most out of Pilates you need to focus on the quality of your movement.
Pilates is about developing a complete, balanced physique that encompasses not only strength and flexibility but also ease of movement, balance and control. Once you start your Pilates practice you will start to to embody all these qualities in your movements in and out of class. With this in mind is very important to get an initial consult so we can work towards this with you. Even if you have done Pilates before you will need to assessed by us to make sure you will get the most out of your Pilates.
All Pilates Classes including the Initial Consultation last 55 minutes.
Private Class
This is one to one with the instructor if you are new to Pilates or have a rehabilitation issue, or need time to learn the basics of Pilates then this is the best choice for you.
Split Class or Semi Private Class
This is one instructor to 2 people. Once you are more confidant with your Pilates practice or if you have done Mat work before this may be the choice for you. You need to have a understanding of the basics to move forward into a split class
Group Class
There is 3 or 4 people to one instructor and is generally a mix of Mat work, small apparatus and large Equipment work. These are ideally suited to people who have had 10 to 20 Private or Split classes or for those who have had a reasonable amount of Pilates practice.
